The first agricultural exhibition in East China was held in Shanghai

China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was established
In May 1952, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) was established.
The committee is a national non-governmental economic and trade organization composed of representative people, enterprises and organizations in China's economic and trade circles. It is the first semi-official organization related to economic and trade exhibition affairs established in New China.
Foreign Economic Development Committee in China was established
On February 12, 1953, the then Central People's Government Administration Council decided to form a Foreign Economic Development Exhibition Committee from the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Heavy Industry, and the Beijing Municipal Government of the Central People's Government, responsible for foreign economic exhibitions in China. Beijing "Soviet Exhibition Hall" completed

From April 25 to May 25, 1957, the 1st China Export Commodities Fair was held in Guangzhou Sino-Soviet Friendship Building. The exhibition covers an area of 0.96 million square meters. The foreign trade companies directly affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Trade form 13 trading groups, and 27 domestic trade enterprises in Jilin, Liaoning, Guizhou, Hunan, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other provinces participate in the exhibition. Premier Zhou Enlai visited the meeting and proposed to refer to the exhibition as “Canton Fair”.
The first Canton Fair Autumn Exhibition

National Agricultural Exhibition Center completed in Beijing

Japan Industrial Fair held in Beijing and Shanghai

Beijing China International Exhibition Center put into use

Chen Xianjin is the first Chinese to serve as the chairman of UFI. Since 2006, Chen has been the chairman of UFI Asia Pacific.

The "Opinions" proposes that by 2020, an exhibition industry system with optimized structure, perfect functions, solid foundation, reasonable layout and balanced development will be basically established.
A number of private exhibition companies have been listed on the New Third Board
From November to December 2015, Tianjin Zhenwei Exhibition Co., Ltd. and Beijing Black Oil Digital Exhibition Co., Ltd., which are private exhibition companies, were listed on the New Third Board, marking the entry of the Chinese exhibition industry into the capital era and the exhibition project. The company expanded to the upstream and downstream of the exhibition industry chain.
